    Carefully read the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost (pg. 77).  What message do you think Robert Frost was trying to pass on to his readers?  Use examples from the poem to support your response.

    Outsiders: Compare and Contrast

         In Chapter Two, Cherry mentions the Socs “have troubles you’ve never even heard of…things are rough all over.”  However, in Chapter Three, Ponyboy yells, It ain’t fair…it ain’t fair that we have all the rough breaks!”   Which person, Ponyboy or Cherry, do you agree with.  Explain why you chose to agree with that character.

       Reread the author's description of each important character introduced in Chapter One.  In a short paragraph tell which character you might want to have as a friend and why this person would be a good friend.
