    Carefully read the poem "Nothing Gold Can Stay" by Robert Frost (pg. 77).  What message do you think Robert Frost was trying to pass on to his readers?  Use examples from the poem to support your response.

         In Chapter Two, Cherry mentions the Socs “have troubles you’ve never even heard of…things are rough all over.”  However, in Chapter Three, Ponyboy yells, It ain’t fair…it ain’t fair that we have all the rough breaks!”   Which person, Ponyboy or Cherry, do you agree with.  Explain why you chose to agree with that character.
