Choose a "Choice Board" option and follow the directions below:
1. Write a choice board response in a word processing document, including ALL parts asked for.
2. Check for GUMS:
*Grammar: complete sentences (subject and predicate), subject verb
agreement (all past tense or all present tense - don't mix),
proper use of adjectives (describing nouns) and adverbs (describing
verbs - usually ending in LY))
*Usage: using language in an
acceptable, appropriate way (no slang or text abbreviations, no "gonna"
or "should of" or "could of")
*Mechanics: use capital letters
for proper nouns (names, specific places, etc.), proper punctuation
(periods, commas, quotes, parentheses, etc.)
*Spelling: run a spell check, then read through for words the spell check doesn't find
3. Listen to your entry and make final corrections.
4. Cut and paste your entry to this blog.
If
you have not followed these directions, do not post your response. It
will be considered incomplete and will have to be redone.
