The SATELLITE Program is pleased to announce the application period for the 2016 program is now open.
The SATELLITE (Science And Technology Enriching Lifelong Leaders In Tomorrow's Endeavors) Program is a 5 day program at NC State targeted at underserved students and counties who may not be considering a post-secondary education. Students engage in important sessions, panel discussions, a personal statement writing session, and prolonged discussion with current NC State undergraduates to become more informed and encouraged to attend a post secondary education. Furthermore, through various STEM activities, including egg drop and water tower engineering, nuclear reactor lab tours, the science of bees, and a day long tour of the NC Museum of Natural Science, to name a few, students are encouraged to explore the exciting fields of STEM.
The program is currently soliciting applications through our online portal: https://clubs.ncsu.edu/satellite/?page=stu_app
This is the first iteration of our online application process. If there are issues with students submitting their application online, a paper copy is also available. However, please contact the program first at ncsusatellite@gmail.com so we can be looking for the application in the mail.
