Wow, can not believe that it has been this long since I've updated.  How terrible of me.  But, some things that are currently in the works in the lap

 

Grade 6 - just finished our individual recordings before we move onto editing.  Once audio editing is fully grasped, well, in as much as you can learn at our level, we will start to work on our first podcast

 

Grade 7 - we just worked on taking our first articles and turning them into pieces more suitable for a school paper.  We have also recently worked on 3 column versus 2 column page layouts

 

Grade 1 - Today we started working on internet based tangrams.  I thought the students really enjoyed it.

Monday's are always difficult in the BPJ Media Center.  Classes all day...students coming and going.  It is a good thing though.  Nothing like students learning to remind the adults why we do what we do. 

 

Anyway...important news coming up in the very near future about the BPJ Yearbook so be on the look out for that.  But today, I wanted to leave a note for our middle school (The Upper School) about sources.  The following link is a pretty good resource for you, even if it is a little difficult to follow sometimes.

I came across this cute little site in my travels and shared one of the activities with the kindergarten, yesterday and today (We have a split class) and thought you might like it.  There are all sorts of activites (including a pretty fun Mini-Golf game and Math Pac-Man (yes...you read that correctly!!)) that you can find on the parent site..but for now, enjoy Fishy Count.
