Welcome back to school! In all classes today, we looked over the Welcome Letter and distributed the Student Info Sheets. Please have those completed to hand in by Friday. We're going to have an awesome year together!!

Pre-Algebra: We did a mini-lesson on slope. We talked about how to draw slope triangles to find slope, and how to draw a line given a point and the slope. We also used the slope formula to find the slope between two points mathematically.
Algebra I Honors: We finished reviewing for the final exam. Please continue reviewing at home by focusing on the problems discussed in class. Remember to bring in pencils, a calculator, and your textbook/CD for collection tomorrow!

Pre-Algebra & Pre-Algebra Honors: We worked on graphing pictures today. Try to bring them back to class tomorrow and Friday!
Algebra I Honors: We went over the problems from the review packet that were assigned for homework last night. We proceeded to go over the rest of the problems from the final review packet, and will continue doing so tomorrow. The final exam will be on Friday, periods 1, 2, and 3. Please stop by your Period 1 teacher to check in, and come immediately afterward to the cafeteria. Bring all necessary materials: pencils, calculator, textbook/CD to return. I will be available for help after school tomorrow.

Algebra I Honors: We went over the topics that will be covered on the final exam. Review Packets were handed out, and students are expected to complete #1-29 tonight.

Pre-Algebra & Pre-Algebra Honors: Today was the first day of the final. We will continue/finish with the final tomorrow. Be sure to continue studying, and remember to bring pencils, a calculator, and your textbook/CD to return tomorrow!
Algebra I Honors: Today was the quiz on sections 12.5-12.7. Your homework tonight is to create a study guide based on the topics that were handed out today. Make sure you look up each topic and write down any pertinent definitions and examples. We will share our study guides tomorrow, and you will be given the review packet in class. The final exam for this class will be on Friday, during periods 1-3. You will report to the cafeteria right at the beginning of the day.

Pre-Algebra: To finish reviewing for the final, we played Bingo! Please make sure that you make some time over the weekend to study for the final, which will be in class on Monday and Tuesday. Remember to bring your #2 pencils, calculator, and textbook/CD (for collection).

Algebra I Honors: To review for the quiz on sections 12.5-12.7, we completed problems from the textbook in class. Students were given a 3x5 index card on which to write any formulas that will be useful for Monday's quiz. Please remember to make and bring your card to class on Monday!

Pre-Algebra: Today, we reviewed word problems. We went over how to create a tree diagram, odds in favor and against, markups and discounts, scales, and how to complete word problems in general.
Pre-Algebra Honors: We continued reviewing for the final by completing the final review packet.
Algebra I Honors: Continuing with trigonometry, we talked about how the trigonometric ratios, and the inverse trigonometric ratios (i.e. the arcsin, arccosine, and arctangent), can be used to find a missing angle when given 2 or more sides. The quiz on sections 12.5-12.7 has been pushed back until Monday due to the number of students who will be missing tomorrow's class because of the variety show.

Pre-Algebra: We continued reviewing for the final today. We discussed the percent proportion, percent of change, markups, discounts, tax, tip, the interest formula, radicals, Pythagorean Theorem, and the distance and midpoint formulas.
Pre-Algebra Honors: The bulk of today's class was spent working on the final review packet. Alternate Assessments were handed back.
Algebra I Honors: We began working with trigonometric ratios. We talked about sine, cosine, and tangent, and how they can be used to find missing side lengths when given a side and an angle.

Pre-Algebra: Continued reviewing for the final by going over prime factorization, GCF/LCM, simplifying fractions, operations with fractions, proportions, and tree diagrams.
Pre-Algebra Honors: Finished the Chapter 10 Alternate Assessment. We will continue reviewing for the final tomorrow.
Algebra I Honors: Today we discussed the distance and midpoint formulas. There will be a quiz on Friday, covering sections 12.5-12.7 (Pythagorean Theorem, Distance and Midpoint, and Trigonometric Ratios).

Pre-Algebra: Began reviewing for the final by looking over the problems from Chapters 1-3. By tomorrow, #1-43 should be completed.
Pre-Algebra Honors: Began working on the Chapter 10 Alternate Assessment in class. This will be completed tomorrow in class.
Algebra I Honors: Worked on the Pythagorean Theorem. Will begin working on the Distance and Midpoint formulas tomorrow!
