Our next book report entails reading a novel that deals with a character facing some level of educational barrier.  As discussed in class, these barriers can take on many forms including physiological, social, psychological, etc. need or deficiency.  Please blog your barrier book request.  Format of book report will be discussed in class, but you should plan on having your book completed no later than November 1st.

You have the syllabus.  You've heard the overview.  We've addressed the "rules."  But what are you hoping to gain out of this class?

As you may have noticed, the clock runs extremely fast during our class, and all too often we're cut short without ample opportunity to let everyone speak.  Similarly, many imes there are great "side-notes" that simply go unexplored due to the lack of time.  With this said, use the class blog to your advantage.  Ask the question, voice the opinion, link the evidence.....whatever you missed or forgot at that bell, use this forum to truly complete the discussion & perhaps begin new ones!  So it's not skype or tangle, but it's one step closer
