    El Día de San Valentín llega (arrives) el 14 de febrero.  Hablamos del Día de San Valentín esta semana.  Here are some questions:
    ¿Te gusta el Día de San Valentín?  ¿Por qué?  ¿Por qué no?
    ¿Con quién celebras (With whom do you celebrate) el Día de San Valentín?
    ¿Qué te gustaría recibir como regalo?  ¿Chocolate, flores, dulces....?
    ¿Te gusta escribir y recibir tarjetas de San Valentín?

    This week, we are talking about what we're going to do or going to be  in the near future or the future.  You may make predictions about yourself and your friends,but please be appropriate and kind!!!
    Here are the questions:
    ¿Qué vas a hacer en el futuro? OR ¿Qué vas a hacer este fin de semana/este verano, etc?
     ¿Qué va a hacer tu amigo/a en el futuro?
    Por ejemplo,
    "Yo voy a ser actriz muy famosa en el futuro"(I'm going to be a very famous actress in the future" or
    "Yo voy a ir al centro comercial con mis amigos este fin de semana."
    "Mi amigo Ralph va a casarse con Megan Fox en el futuro"(My friend Ralph is going to marry Megan Fox in the future".

    Let's talk about "New Year's Resolutions" (as we did in class).
    The question is:
    ¿Qué debes (or quieres) hacer en el Año Nuevo? (What do you need or want to do in the new year?)¿Por qué?
    Start your answer with "Debo..." or "Quiero"
    For example:  Debo estudiar más porque me gustaría sacar buenas notas (I need to study more because I would like to get good grades).
    Helpful vocabulary:
    más=more
    menos=less
    mejor=better
    sacar buenas notas=to get good grades
    ayudar en casa=to help at home

    Since we are on vacation (yeah!), let's talk about where you are going and what you like to do on vacation, why and with whom.  Here are the questions:

    You might want to continue to ask questions of your classmates, too.
    For example:
    En las vacaciones, me gusta esquiar.  Voy a las montañas de Jimimy Peak con mi familia porque es divertido.     
    Or:
    Me gusta ver películas.  Voy al cine para ver _________ con mis amigos porque es divertido.

    Since we've been practicing asking and answering questions, please try to ask your classmates and friends questions in Spanish.  Please start with your friend's name.  Hopefully, he or she will respond on the blog!
    Por ejemplo:
     Rachel asks Hannah:  "Hannah, ¿Adónde vas el sábado?"
    Other questions:
    ¿Qué te gusta hacer el fin de semana?  ¿Por qué?
    ¿Qué te gusta hacer en Delmar?  ¿Con quién?
    ¿Cuál es tu restaurante favorito?  ¿Dónde est    á?, etc.
    Try to contact as many people as possible!  Make sure to tell your classmates and friends that you have asked them a question on the blog.
