    1. Although Judy Morgan didn't know it at the time she was actually talking to Nick in the parking lot after school.  If you had been in Nick's position, would you have given Judy a chance to interview you? Why or why not?

    2.(Please answer after reading chapter 13)  Why doesn't Mrs. Granger just give up and stop putting the word "pen" on the spelling test?

    Please choose one of the following questions to answer.  Answer using AT LEAST 5 sentences.

    Discuss the answer to Nick's question about why words mean different things: "Like who says d-o-g means the thing that goes 'woof' and wags its tail?  Do you agree with Mrs. Granger's statement that people make those decisions by using the words? Explain your opinion in no less than 5 sentences.

    Please answer after reading chapter 7: If you could listen in the Teacher's Lounge at Mrs. Granger's school, what do you think you would hear?  Think about what Nick said at the end of the chapter.  What would the conversation sound like between the teachers?

    Nick asked Mrs. Granger a question to try to get out of doing a homework assignment. What advice would you give Nick to help him with his plan?

    Look up the word reputation and write a student friendly definition.  Knowing what you know about Nick and Mrs. Granger what could you say about their reputations?
