    Objective:
    learn to name, sign, and match farm animals.

    1.  Use your IPAD to play these games:

    Farm Flip Fun ~ Abby's Preschool Shape Puzzles: Farm ~ Old MacDonald ~ Preschool Games: Farm Animals ~ Children's Animal Sounds ~ Farmyard Sounds

    2.  We will watch some movies about farm animals in class.

    3.  Watch the PowerPoint about farms. Complete the matching pages of the PowerPoint (last slides).

    4.  Look up signs for the animals in the PowerPoint. Practice signing and naming the animals.

    5.  In class, we will make a movie of all students naming and signing farm animals.

    6.  Have your parents help you answer these questions: ( Post answers to this blog.)
    A.  What are the names of some animals you have seen?
    B.  What animals do you have at your house?  Could the animals that live at  your house live on a farm?
    C.  Where did McDonald's get their hamburgers and french fries?

    Objective: Students will learn counting skills and categorizing skills.

    1.  Watch the instructional presentation. (See link on Let's Count! page)

    2.  Practice counting by using these APPS on your IPAD:
    Toddler Counting, Park Math- Feed the Hippo, and Preschool Adventure Island- Counting Sea Creatures

    3.  Complete the teacher artpad. (See link on Let's Count! page) 
    Draw pictures or shapes to show the correct number of objects for each number.
    Count all of the objects on the page and write that number in black.

    4. Create your own artpad page. (See links on Let's Count! page)
    Write 3 numbers in sequential order.  (1,2,3 or 5, 6, 7, etc.)
    Draw pictures or shapes to show the correct number of objects.  There should be a different object for each number, but all pictures should be in the same category. (Example: apples, oranges, and grapes all are fruit or circle, square, triangle are all shapes, etc.)
    Count all of the objects on the page and write that number on the page in black.

    Email the pages from steps 3 and 4 to Mrs. Bley
    at bbley@elreno.k12.ok.us

    5.  Practice counting from 1-20.

    6. During class we will create a movie presentation using your picture and Mrs. Bley's Voicethread account.
    You will be the star of your own movie!
    For the presentation, you will need to describe your picture.  You will need to tell which category your pictures belong to (fruit, shapes, etc.) You will need to count from 1-20.

    All steps can be reached through this TeacherWeb website.

    1. Watch the "letter O movie" on the "letter of the week" page.

    2.  Press "ESC" and then rearrange the pictures on the chart slides. 
         A.  Choose one of the rhyming words chart slides.  Match the pictures and the words. Then type your own    rhyming word. 
          B.  Fill in the Venn diagram slide by placing the pictures in the correct circles. 
          C. Save  your new slide show as a file that says: yourname_ letter_o
          D. Watch your new slide show.
        
    3.  Fill out the Reading Quiz. When you are finished, don't forget your name and to click "submit".

    Hints: Use the rhyming words finder and the Internet picture dictionary to help you find words for the online reading quiz. The links to these can be found on the links page.
