    Hey Guys!

LEAP has been offered the chance to send 6 people to hear Stephen Lewis speak at Port Credit sometime in January.

For those who don't know who Stephen Lewis is, here's a short bio:

In 2001, Lewis was appointed the UN special envoy for HIV/AIDS Awareness.  Ever since then, he has gone world wide to support and promote HIV/AIDS awareness.  His passionate speeches have raised public and political awareness and he has been named one of the world's 100 most influential people.

If you are interested in attending, here's what you have to do:

Write a letter expressing why you would like to go, why you think you should go, what you know about Stephen Lewis, and anything else you think would be fitting. Make sure to hand it in to Tosh or I before the deadline.

--> PLEASE do not write your name on the letter.  To make it completely fair, please write you student number.

Also, after attending we would like to have the six who went share what they have learned and how they felt about the speech, Stephen Lewis, HIV/AIDS, etc. at one of our meetings.

    DEADLINE: THURSDAY, DECEMBER 17 2009

If you'd like to learn more, here's a couple links to some great sites:

Even if you aren't interested in applying, check out these great sites!
