Good Morning!!
It is Tuesday, June 30th and I have been up since 4:30am. WOW!! Early! This summer has been excellent so far! We started off the summer by going to Gulf Shores, AL the last week of May. We then went to Memphis to the zoo and Chuck E. Cheese for Tanner's 3rd birthday! Can you believe Tanner is 3???? I know that I can't. He is growing up so fast. Soon...he will be a middle school, stinky boy...haha..just joking! He had a Mickey Mouse party this year. No special guest appearances this year like last year. We had "Barney" come to his party last year and he was terrified!!!!! So...we decided to leave the characters on TV instead of having them appear live!
It was also Tanner's first year of Vacation Bible School. He was in the 3-4 year old class. I taught 4th grade of our VBS at First Baptist Church in Humboldt. Our theme was..."Studio Go!" Our church actually won the official studio game show host to host all of our game shows. He was awesome!
Since VBS has been over we have been working in our garden! Our garden is HUGE this year, as you can tell from the pictures I posted. I have been canning everyday and will be canning until August.
I am looking so forward to this next year of school!!
Our science standards have changed and I have attended some trainings over the summer to help teach the new standards. They are all based on 'inquiry' thinking (which is predictions, what do you think will happen?) Which means that we have to do labs all the time!! Yea for labs!!
