Dear Team Tighe,
I read this really good book called Soupy Saturdays. It was interesting because different chapters were told by different characters. The Pain would tell one story and then the Great One would tell another. Usually, there is only one person telling you the story. The Pain was the brother in the story and he was pretty funny. One time he decided to wash his aunt's dog with shampoo. Stuff got everywhere and it was a mess. He seems like a sweet boy, but he and his sister fought a lot! His sister was called the Great One. She was older, but she didn't know how to ride a bike. I felt really bad for her when her half birthday party was runied because the Pain was sick. The Great One, whos real name is Abigal, seems to be really worried about what her friends think of her. She didn't want any of them to know that she can't ride a bike or that she really wants to be a princess. I think she should tell her friends everything and if they are her true friends, then they will not care.
There were many good parts in the story, but my favorite was when Abigal learned to ride a bike. I am glad that she faced her fears and learned to do it with the help of her uncle. I think the theme for this book was Overcoming Challenges. Both the Pain and the Great One had to overcome things in the story. The Pain had help from his sister in getting his haircut. I thought it was really sweet how the Great One made him cardborad ears so his ears wouldn't get cut off. :) The Great One overcame the most the challenges. She learned how to ride a bike, she learned how to be honest to her friends, and was okay with babysitting the dog instead of her cousin. Overall, I really liked this book and I think there are other books in this series so you can look for them as well.
Love,
Mrs. Tighe
