For this Thanksgiving, I will be hosting Thanksgiving dinner at my house.  Mr. Cheung's family is coming down from Michigan, Missouri, and Florida to join us in a BIG FEAST.  Help me out!  What are your FAVORITE things to eat for Thanksgiving?  Maybe you can help give me some good ideas on things to cook for Mr. Cheung's family.

Take a look around your house.  What are some things you see that are cube shaped?  Sphere shaped?  Cylinder shaped?  Cone shaped?

Ever since I was a little girl, I would tell my mommy that I wanted to be a teacher.  I would have all the chairs in our house lined up in rows and have a chalk board and erase in my hand ready to teach my sister...unfortunately, she was my ONLY student growing up;)  Luckily my dream came true and I had the opportunity to be a REAL teacher and make a difference in many children's lives.

We have been studying different community helpers and their contributions they make to our community.  When you grow up, what do YOU want to be???

Last week, we studied the -an family.  What words do you know belong to that family???  Have Mom and Dad help you type the words as you say them.  BONUS:  Can you help Mom and Dad spell the words as they type???

    Dear Wonderfuls:
Last week in class, we talked about words that belonged to the "at family".  Work with Mom and Dad and type out as many -at words as you can!

    Dear Wonderfuls:
Ms. Eileen, the cafeteria lady, baked yummy gingerbread cookies for us.  But when she opened the oven door, they jumped out and ran away?  Where do you think those gingerbread cookies could be???????

    Dear Wonderfuls,

I love to travel - especially during the summer.  Mr. Cheung and I try to go somewhere every summer.  Unfortunately we did not travel this summer, BUT we did enjoy biking around Lake Travis quite a bit though.  Although it was VERY HOT, I still like smelling the fresh air of Austin!

I also learned how to swim this summer too!  I can now put my head underwater without swallowing a mouth full of water AND no floaties :)

What did YOU do this summer?  Leave a comment for other wonderfuls to read!  You can have Mom and Dad help you type it out.

    Love,
    Mrs. Cheung

    Hello Wonderfuls!
Welcome to the Lilypad!  Every so often I will have questions on different topics that you can respond to.  It's a fun way to practice writing sentences and also see what other wonderfuls in the class are thinking too.  To respond to an entry, simply click on "Add a comment" and follow the given directions.

**Mom and Dad, please try to let them type it out the best they can by themselves and then write what they really wanted to say in parenthesis.**

Please check my website often.  I will try to post a question atleast once a week!!  Happy blogging!

    Love,
    Mrs. Cheung
