Was happy (in Latin teacher happy kind of way!) to see aqueduct at above mentioned garden this afternoon. Roman engineering in Austin, Texas! What other examples can we find????
Water channel runs along top of 'columns' and drops into cistern at the end to be used for irrigation!

Am pretty excited. Just purchased a set of 20 unwashed Roman coins from ebay for 7th grade archaeological excavation. Who knows what treasures lie within? Once cleaned we may even have a rare Trajanic aureus!!!!!

July 28th: Coins arrived today. Are wonderful! Definitely unwashed and unloved on for a couple of millenia! Can't wait to 'use' them!

July 30th: UPS delivered a complete (and anonymously sent) Playmobil Roman Army to my house yesterday!
obstupefacta sum!!  Thank You! Thank You! Battle will commence as soon as I can set this up in Daedalus!
