In
the early years of Stony Point, students from Round Rock HS and Stony
Point HS joined together to help the less fortunate by collecting jars
of peanut butter and jelly. According to history, this evolved in the
annual "Peanut Butter and Jelly Bowl" game.
This
year, the students from SP9/SPHS Health Occupations Students of America
(HOSA) and RRHS HOSA would like to recreate this tradition of providing
for families in need.
The details....
This Friday
night is the big game against Round Rock High School. We have an
opportunity for a friendly pre-game competition that will also
assist the less fortunate. Starting this Monday, students from SP9 and SPHS will be asked to bring jars of jelly and students at RRHS will bring jars of peanut butter to school. On
Friday, the jars will be counted and the school with the most donations
will be the winner of the "2009 Peanut Butter and Jelly Bowl".
All students.... please bring your jars of jelly to room #202. All donations will be given to the Round Rock Area
Serving Center to assist the less fortunate this Fall. Remember....
we need all donations by Friday!!!
Let's go out and Jam Round Rock!!!!
