This week 5th graders learned about note values: whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, and eighth notes. For a music dollar create a musical math problem using note values. Keep in mind your problem must be answered correctly!

    Here is an example:

one whole note + two half notes + three quarter notes = 11

This week in music we learned the letter names of the lines of the treble clef. They are E G B D F. We learned an easy way to remember this is to come up with a sentence using each letter. The example that Mrs. Bromley used was Every Good Boy Does Fine.
What sentence did you come up with??

4th grade lesson: This week we learned about major and minor tonality in music. We learned that Major is when songs sound bright and happy. In contrast, we learned that Minor is when songs sound sad and gloomy.

Comment - Listen to a song you enjoy on the radio or music you have at home. Give the title of the song and tell whether it is Major or Minor.
