    Extra Credit - Limited Time Only

    Complete the following assignment to earn one free homework pass to be used on a first nine week missing classwork/homework assignment.

    Your answer must be posted on this blog by 9:00 am November 8, Tuesday morning.  If you don't follow these guidelines, you will not receive extra credit.
    View a movie and answer the following questions:

    1.  What is the main setting (time and place)  and how does the setting contribute to the mood of the movie?

    2.  Who is the protagonist?  Describe appearance and character.

    3.  Who is the antagonist?  Describe appearance and character.

    4.  What is the subject of this movie?  (This will be answered in one word e.g. relationships, crime, self-doubt, love, war, family etc .)5.

    Welcome English 9 Students

    Hello English 9 students,

    Ninth grade is an exciting year, both academically and socially.  Many of you may have some worries about English and/or high school in general.  Relax.  As long as you come to class prepared, take time to organize and complete your work and pay respectful attention in class, you will succeed.  In fact, many of you will be amazed at how much you will grow as both a student and person in English 9. And remember students, the key to keeping up with all your classes this year will be using your agenda.

    Speaking of agenda, it's time to get out your agenda  and record the following assignment date:

    Summer Reading is due Monday, September 19.  See links below for assignment and cover sheets.
