    Hey Guys,

Much has been discussed about the Renaissance greats: Michelangelo, Petrarch and Shakespeare but, there is little to no mentioned about the contributions of women.  Did women have a Renaissance?  Well, read your hand out (from class) and respond in a 5-10 sentence paragraph to the question! -- Please post your response no later than 12 midnight on Sunday, Feb 24th.

    Hey Guys,

I was thinking...the Romans are soooooooooooooooooooooooo similar to the Han Chinese, The Gupta Indians and the Persians.  Pick one of those (Han, Gupta or Perisa) and respond to this blog by explaining the similarities (ONLY) that you see between these Ancient societies - by January 3rd.

    Hey Guys,

We just finished a Unit on Greece and Persia.  The passage of reading, "Beer and Wine in the Ancient Wolrd" gives us some insight on how valuable wine was in Ancient times.  Why do you think wine was so valued in the Meditteranean World? Why do you think there was there less mention of wine consumption in Mesopotamia (Iran and Persia)? BLOG AWAY...remember, this is a HOMEWORK grade

    Hey Guys

We've been comparing/contrasting Egypt with Mesopotamia in our lecture and discussion.  Many archaeologists originally thought EGYPT was the "Cradle of Civilization", while other research asserts that it was MESOPOTAMIA that emerged first.  We DO know they were contemporaries...but what do YOU think???
