What time should my child arrive at school?

Children should arrive at school no later than 7:50 A.M. This allows them to
get organized, get a drink of water, and talk to their classmates for a few
minutes before school begins.

What happens if my child does not bring his or her homework to school?

Children that repeatedly forget homework will be given the opportunity to
complete it again at recess. At home, they should be encouraged to put
their work in their backpack as soon as it is completed. It is their
responsibility, not yours. If a child occasionally forgets work, he or she
will be allowed to bring it in on the following day.

What should I do when my child misses school due to illness?

Please call the school in the morning and report the illness. At the same
time, you can request work for your child so that he or she will not fall
behind. You can pick up the work in the office or we can send it
home with another child.

What happens if our vacation plans don't match the school vacation?

Please check the school calendar when school begins in August. If at all
possible, please try to arrange your vacation during our scheduled
vacations. It is very difficult for a child to make up the work when
you are out of town and much of what we do in the classroom can not be sent
home as homework.
