The Alverno High School Book Club meets on the first Thursday of every month
during lunch in the library. While eating lunch, we discuss the books we've
read during the previous month. Books are chosen by genre, so every member
can read a book she likes, as long as it adheres to the genre chosen for
that month. Some of the choices include: Mystery, Romance, Science Fiction,
Fantasy, Classic Literature, etc. This is a fun club where the only rule
is "Read one book and talk about it at the meeting."
The meeting dates for 2009-2010 are:
September 3: First meeting, where we will discuss the few rules of the club,
and members will talk about one exciting book they read over the summer.
October 1: Romance or Humor
November 5: Science Fiction or Fantasy
December 3: Mystery
January 7: Historical Fiction
February 4: Horror or Adventure
