Tips for success at AHS:
Attend school every day.
Eat breakfast!
Get to class on time.
Keep an organized notebook with divider tabs for different subjects.
Take good notes in class and ask questions.
Leave your cell phone, Ipod, PSP, etc. at home!
Complete all classwork and homework assignments.
If absent, ask for make-up work upon returning to school.
Attend tutoring at lunch or after school if you need extra help in your
classes. Find out when your teacher offers tutoring.
Ask for a progress report/grade report to find out if you are missing
assignments.
Call or email your teacher to help you become more successful in class and get
specific information about your progress.
