Counselors are here to help you with any concern that you may have.

you are in danger (to yourself or to others). We will only share your
feelings with someone else, like your parents or teachers, on your request.

The Counseling Department at Arlington High endeavors to provide services
tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual and follows the
American School Counselor Association National Model. Although each
Counselor has a caseload of over 400 students (divided amongst the five
Counselors by alphabet alone to ensure access for all), the Counselors
continually assess student progress and adapt programs to provide the most
appropriate services. Parents are encouraged to keep counselors informed of
any condition that impacts student performance.

"Professional school Counselors serve a vital role in maximizing student
achievement. Incorporating leadership, advocacy and collaboration,
professional school counselors promote equity and access to opportunities
and rigorous educational experiences for ALL students. The school guidance
curriculum is delivered throughout the school's overall curriculum and is
systematically presented by professional school Counselors in collaboration
with other professional educators in K-12 classroom and group activities"
(American School Counselor Association).

Career Center
The purpose of the Career Center is to assess each student's interests and
abilities and to provide appropriate information available regarding various
careers and fields of work.
