Welcome

We are nearing the end of a wonderful school year and the students are busy learning many exciting science concepts. Take a look at what is happening in science:
  • 4th Grade is finishing their unit on Solid Earth by focusing on weathering, erosion, as well as rapid and slow changes to the Earth's surface. They will end the year learning about Magnetism and Electricity.
  • 5th grade is learning how to conduct a controlled experiments, as well as use data to plot a two-coordinate graphs. They will then begin to learn and conduct investigations about our Earth as a Water Planet.
  • 6th grade will learn about the processes that have shaped our current landscape, including the Theory of Plate Tectonics, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Exploding volcanoes forthcoming!
  • 7th grade is learning about genetics and Charles Darwin's theory of natural selection. They will end the school year putting together their understanding of biology to learn about the human body.
  • 8th grade is learning about force and motion. They are comparing the speeds of dot cars, learning about acceleration, force, gravity, and momentum.
