ATTENTION: I have decided to put a hold on Book Club for a week or two. We are going to backtrack, and read a short book together. Then the kids will work in groups on a report, and individually on a project. The reasoning for this is that only 20% of the class is showing me any effort for Book Club. I have too many students who are consistently unprepared, or who are just not producing any work. So we will pause, and take a few steps back. Please stay tuned, as I may revamp the whole program for this group as well. Thank you for your patience. NOTE: please send in a note or call the office when your child is absent, thank you! NOTE: HW planners went home today. We are practicing writing our assignments into our planners. Please help us to be organized and responsible by checking our planners daily for due dates. Friday: Wear your "Ballard Bear Wear" for school spririt. If you don't have a Ballard school shirt or sweatshirt you can wear red or black.
