What are literature circles?

Literature Circles are group explorations of pre-selected literature. 
Students perform jobs to model the skills of successful readers and bring 
the book "to life."

How should my child know what the homework is?

Scholars are required to write their homework assignments in a daily planner 
each day to ensure their completion.

What should we do if our child is absent?

Every student has a note buddy in class. In order to prepare the student 
for the years ahead, they have been advised to meet with their buddy prior 
to (by phone, if possible) or upon their return to acquire all missed 
assignments and notes. Beyond this, students can contact the teacher.
