What if my student did not have time to do the assigned homework tonight?

Everyone has unexpected events happen that can interfere with the student's
ability to complete assignments. As long as this is an infrequent occurance,
I will allow an extension on the homework or waive the assignment depending
on the circumstances. Please write me a quick note or e-mail so I know you
are aware the assignment was not completed.

How long should my student spend on homework each night?

The district guidelines suggests a maximum of 10 minutes per grade level or
50 minutes a night. This will vary by how efficient your student is at
completing work. I do not assign regular homework over weekends or holidays.
The only exceptions would be long-term projects, or work that has been
previously assigned but not turned in on the due date.

Can I bring in treats for my student's birthday?

Due to the new nutritional guidelines, food is no longer acceptable as
birthday treats. If you wish, you can donate a book in honor of your child's
birthday. Please dedicate the book by writing your child's name and date on
the inside of the book.

I would like a teacher conference. How do I contact you?

I have voicemail, e-mail and I answer notes and letters brought in by the
student. Let me know a couple of days and times you are available and we
will make an appointment.
