My maternity leave is scheduled to begin Tuesday, May 1st, which means that my last day with students will be Monday, April 30th. I am so proud of the progress that my class has made this year and would like to have an opportunity to celebrate their learning before I leave. CAPE’s Open House will take place at the end of May. Since I will not be able to attend on that evening, I would like to have an Open House on Thursday, April 26thfrom 1:30 – 2:30. The students will be showcasing their pet shop, artist of the month art projects, writing and much more. Hope you will all be able to make it.
Additionally, the students have earned another marble jar party! We will be celebrating this great accomplishment with a pizza and movie party on Friday, April 27th. I will provide students with lunch on this day. I will be serving cheese pizza, fruit and a juice box. If this does not meet the dietary needs of your child, please let me know so I can arrange an alternative.
Thank you so much for all the love and support you have shown me throughout the school year. I have greatly enjoyed getting to know both you and your child. I expect that the students will continue to thrive in my absence. Their substitute, Alicia Laurentowski, is very excited to be working with the kids and I feel good about handing over an awesome class!
