Homework (GATE)Tuesday Nov. 24: work on Cell Analogy Projects (due Wednesday Dec. 2)
Monday Nov. 23: study practice quiz, the real quiz is tomorrow iday Nov. 20: For each of your 8 analogies, you need to write 2-3 sentences describing what the cell part does and how that is similar to the part of your system. Thursday Nov. 19: cell analogies Wednesday Nov. 18: study notes Tuesday Nov. 17: study notes Monday Nov. 16: There was a substitute on Monday. Students were supposed to do p.63-68 in their study guides. Friday Nov. 13: study notes Thursday Nov. 12: Finsh plant and animal cell drawings, read and take notes on p.120-126. You should have 20 questions and answers. Tuesday Nov. 10: Egg Lab Conclusion. You can also be working on your animal and plant cell drawings which will be due by Friday. Monday Nov. 9: Notebook Set-up for the 2nd quarter. Also, the final draft of your Egg Lab Conclusion is due on Thursday. It should be 5 paragraphs and it should be typed. Follow the outline in your notebook. Wednesday Nov. 4: study guide p.59-61 Tuesday Nov. 3: quarter grade check Monday Nov. 2: Read p.114-119 Friday Oct. 30: No homework. Happy Halloween! Thursday Oct. 29: Study guide p.35-38 Wednesday Oct. 28: Take notes on p.56-60 in your textbook. You should have a total of 10 questions and answers NOT including the examples we did in class. Also, your notebooks are due tomorrow. Tuesday Oct. 27: Study guide p. 31-34. Monday Oct. 26: Read p.52-60 in science textbook. Also, if you did not finish your test corrections in class today, you need to come in at lunch or after school to finish them before Wednesday. Friday Oct. 23: No homework this weekend. Come out and support the Eco Club Car Wash 10-2 on Saturday! Thursday Oct. 22: Review for test tomorrow. You can use one 3" x 5" notecard on the test. It must be your notecard with your name on it and you will turn it in at the end of the test. Wednesday Oct. 21: Rounding and significant digits. Also, there will be a test on Friday over measurements, units and unit conversions, calculating volume and density and significant digits. I will have an extra tutoring session on Thursday after school for anyone who needs help. If you have been struggling, you should plan on attending. Tuesday Oct. 20: Metric Units and prefixes Monday Oct. 19: Converting Metric Units Thursday Oct. 15: If you have finished your calculations for density of the metal cylinders and wood blocks you need to do so by tomorrow. Also, we will have a practical exam tomorrow on measuring density. Monday Oct. 12: None Thursday Oct. 8: Get your grade check signed. Note: I am not finished grading the Reaction Time Lab, so everyone who turned it in has an "excused" right now. If you did not turn it in, it's a zero. I should have those done by Monday and then I will change the grade from "excused" to your actual score out of 50. Tuesday Sept. 29: Reaction Time Lab Report is due tomorrow. Monday Sept. 28: Same as Friday. Friday Sept. 25: Get your grade check signed by your parents. Also, your Reaction Time Lab Report is due Wednesday Sept. 30 and we will also have a test next week over the scientific method, identifying variables and creating graphs. Friday Sept. 18: Finish graphs Thursday Sept. 17: Study Guide p.1-4 Wednesday Sept 16: Textbook Scavenger Hunt Tuesday Sept. 15: Identifying Variables Monday Sept. 14: Read "Designing An Experiment" and answer the question at the end with complete sentences. Friday Sept. 11: Finishing setting up your science notebook. Be sure to bring it Monday! Thursday Sept. 10: Complete the "What Is Science?" mini-poster. Wednesday Sept. 9: Science Action Words Handout. Use each of the 9 words in sentence. You may use any form of the word. Be sure to underline the word and spell it correctly Tuesday Sept. 8: get supplies (You need to have your science notebook by Friday) and parent signature (by Thursday) |
