Hi students and parents! Being a native of Castro Valley , and having a
son attending Canyon, I feel very linked to the community and its
great people. Although I was born at Eden Hospital when the Beatles
were the rage, I've taught in many different places: Bakersfield, Del
Rio,TX, Woodbridge,England, Landstuhl AB,Germany, Alamogordo,NM,
and finally back to my old stomping grounds! From my travels I've
discovered one common thread, and that is "kids" have the same needs no
matter where one teaches. Most of them want to learn and to enjoy
school. I hope to make some fond memories with my students this
year, and , of course, teach them a thing or two about the math world. A
huge goal has always been to get students to not only see the
usefulness of math, but to learn to like it! Have a good year, and, let's do

PS. My older brother,Jerry,recently informed me that the Beatles were not the rage in 1960. But they
were the rage IN the 60's!!!
To understand the concepts of 6th/7th grade math and higher levels of math and enjoy learning those
concepts.
