December 9th: Oral presentation Book Report

Book Report

     For the next indepemdent reading assignment, your child may select the
chapter book of his/her choice.  It should be a abook that they can complete
ina  three week period.  tHey may use a story that they have already begun
reading.  The goal of this projedt is to find a genre that captures their
interest and to have fun sharing that with the class!

    A paper bag book report will be completed and presented to te class.  The
students will have seatwork time to work on their reports.

   Paper Bag Book Report Directions
     On the outside of the front of the bag draw a picture on 12 x 18 white
paper that represents your story.  Include the Title and author with this
picture.
     On the back, use notebook paper and pencil to neatly write a summary of
the story.Include the characters, setting, main idea (conflict and
resolution.) Include your favorite part of this story.
     Inside the bag, place 5-6 items that represent your book. During the
presentation, you will give a summary of the book, bringing each item out of
the bag as it comes up in your presentation.  (USE YOUR ITEMS TO WRITE YOUR
SUMMARY.)
