My name is Teresa Pallete, I was born and raised in Lima, Peru. I have a
master degree in Communication Science. Since I came to the United States I
lived in two states: Florida for five years, where my children were born, and in
California since the year 2000.
I currently work for CONVERSA, a company that uses the TPRS (Total Physical
Response and Story Telling) methodology to teach Spanish in a fun and natural way.
I have been teaching Spanish for a long time, in different schools, and to
children from grades 1st through 8th. This is my third year teaching at Carden
Academy.
The main goal is to immerse the students in the Spanish language, give them
the confidence to express themselves in Spanish, as well as the ability to
communicate with other Spanish speakers. Through TPRS (Total Physical Response
and Story Telling) our fun method follows a functional -communicative approach
useful to every day living. Classes are taught mostly in Spanish and
vocabulary is conveyed through images, real objects and mimicry. The structure
to the vocabulary is provided through clear grammatical explanations allowing
the understanding of the Spanish rules in a natural manner. During the classes
