What are the weekly responsibilities of the Classroom Helpers?
CLASSROOM JOBS
Star of the Week - substitute for anyone absent and is the leader of their
line.
Library - collects and takes library books to the Library with the Star of
the Week (after attendance/lunch count is taken)
Centers - checks centers for cleanliness/tidiness
Door - in charge of closing and opening the door for the class
Closet - checks to be sure closet is tidy and no items are left overnight
Flag Salute - leads the class in the salute/song
Chairs - checks to be sure chairs are pushed in and stacked on vac.

Barrels - collects the trash barrels and puts them by the door to be
emptied at end of day
Raffle - passes out raffle tickets to quiet tables during silent reading
or whenever asked
Pencils - sharpens broken pencils before or after school
Messenger - runs class errands
Cubbies - files papers in the class carefully and makes sure no papers
are left at the end of the day
Motto - leads the class in reciting our class motto - �I am loveable,
capable and a kind first grader.�
