Below is a breakdown of dance, art, library, computer lab, physical
education and music programs we have at HOPE this school year.
DANCE – a musical rhythm and movement program developed and taught weekly by
Pam Laird, a professional dance instructor, who has been with Hope for many
fun and exciting years. We have dance on Wednesdays from 12:35 - 1:05.
MUSIC – taught weekly by Mrs. Sharon Evans. Mrs. Evans is a wonderful asset
to our school, leading the hand bell choir, chorus and recorders. We have
music on Thursdays from 12:30 - 1:00. Mrs. Evans has a school website, so
please check out her site and the wonderful things she is doing with our
students! It is: http://www.hopehawks.com/musicprogram.html
ART - one hour lesson every other Monday from 8:10 - 9:10, with Mrs. Miller
(Sarah's mom).
LIBRARY – children will be learning library skills, participating in a story
time and checking books out for independent reading in the classroom each
week. Books will be brought home after winter break. Hope’s excellent
library program is run by Mrs. Pam Crum. We visit the Library on
Wednesdays from 10:30 - 11:00.
P.E. – SPARK, a developmental, skill-specific program, "brainjogging" daily
on the playground. I would like a structured half hour P.E. lesson each week.
IF YOU ARE A PARENT AND ARE INTERESTED IN TEACHING ART ON MONDAY AFTERNOONS
FROM 12:35 - 1:05 OR 1:45 - 2:15, LET ME KNOW.
COMPUTER LAB - the children visit the computer lab two times a week,
utilizing the "Success Enterprise" program. The children spend
12 minutes on Reading instruction and 12 minutes on Math instruction.
Mrs. Zamara runs our computer lab and we are very fortunate to have her at
Hope. We go to the lab on Wednesdays from 11:05 - 11:35 and Fridays from
11:05 - 11:35.
It is because of our dedicated PTA that we are able to fund Dance, Art and
Music at Hope School. Please, support our PTA! Without them, our curriculum
would not be as enriched as much as it is. THANK YOU PTA!
PLEASE SUPPORT HOPE PTA BY JOINING PTA. I WOULD PERSONALLY LIKE 100%
PARTICIPATION FROM MY PARENTS.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
