Classroom RULES

In First Grade, we…

*listen, follow directions and obey classroom/school rules

*walk carefully and keep our hands and feet to ourselves

*work at our own desk or assigned area nicely

*keep our desk and classroom neat, with chairs pushed in

*work quietly, avoid unnecessary talking, and raise our hands when we wish
to speak

*do not interrupt our teacher, class discussions or activities

*walk in our classroom

*are kind, responsible, helpful and respectful of one another by waiting our
turn and using our manners. Use the words… “Please, thank you, I’m sorry
 and I forgive you.”

*cooperate, share and treat others the way we want to be be treated

*always do our best and be the best first grader we can be

*We are responsible for our own behavior, so let’s all behave in a way that
helps everyone learn, smile and grow.

WE HAVE FUNNELED DOWN ALL THESE RULES TO THREE -

                     1. to be kind and friendly to everyone
                     2. try my best
                     3. raise my hand to speak

                     REMEMBER...There’s NO place like Hope!
