All primary students are provided with the following school supplies by the
Carlsbad Unified School District:
a pencil, an eraser, a box of crayons, a pair of scissors, a ruler, a bottle
of glue, all books and paper
This year HOPE SCHOOL ordered writing journals for our first graders and we
are very excited and appreciative of their donation.
I purchased each child:
a Scholastic News subscription, a thick plastic pocketed file folder to keep
their papers organized, and a plastic storage box.
I AM ASKING FOR An $8 DONATION FOR THESE SUPPLIES, if possible. THANK YOU VERY
MUCH!
Please praise and encourage your child to keep their desk neat at school and
to put their homework in a safe and accessible place in your home. Please
make homework a priority in your home. I will send unfinished work home for
homework and any work you see that says to fix, finish or do should be done
and returned at your earliest convenience.

Parents, please BE SURE TO LABEL EVERYTHING from home THROUGHOUT THE YEAR -
backpacks, lunchboxes, jackets/sweatshirts, umbrellas, sharing items, lunch
money (in a labeled envelope or sealed baggie). It'll help our day run
smoother and you'll have a better chance of getting lost items returned.
NOTE: AT THE END OF EACH MONTH, LOST AND FOUND ITEMS ARE DONATED TO A WORTHY
ORGANIZATION. PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE LOST AND FOUND CART BEFORE THE END
OF EACH MONTH IF YOU ARE MISSING SOMETHING.
