8:00 OPENING - Take attendance, lunch count, flag salute, song and class motto. Review date, and explain board work

Wednesday -  Collect and send Library books to the Library first thing

Wednesday -  (NO reading groups)

Tuesday  -   ART (every other week) 8:10-9:10 (drop backpacks off outside our class and go right over to room 23)

Writer’s Workshop (or testing) to recess 

At 8:30, except on ART Tuesdays and Wednesdays:

Promptly start three, 30 minute leveled Reading Groups using Reading Mastery, Houghton Mifflin, Sing/Spell/Read/Write, The Phonics Game and Project Read. Board work posted on the board consists of independent work, such as: Daily Oral Language, Daily Oral Analogy, Daily Oral Math, math, science, art, social studies, phonics, literature, writing and spelling. Enrichment centers involve group activities targeting higher thinking and problem solving, reading, math, art, writing, phonics, spelling, listening, science, literature and comprehension

10:05   10:25 RECESS/Optional SNACK 

10:25 - 10:35 BRAIN JOGGING MONDAYS, TUESDAYS, THURSDAYS and FRIDAYS

10:35 - 11:45 Finish work/Silent Reading time, Review morning seatwork on Mondays,Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays – then, MATH TIME: Houghton Mifflin, Touch Math, Marcy Cook,Mountain Math, Mental Math, or Math problem of the Day   

Wednesday - LIBRARY - 10:30-11:00 (with Miss Crumm), straight from recess

Wednesday - COMPUTER LAB 11:05 - 11:35 (with Mrs. Zamora), straight from the library 

Friday -       Give weekly SPELLING TEST!  

Friday -      COMPUTER LAB 11:00 - 11:30 (with Mrs. Zamora)

11:50 - 12:35 LUNCH/RECESS

12:40 2:20 Review morning seatwork, as necessary, Calendar time, Story time, Houghton Mifflin Literature, and other selected books/authors, Handwriting, Spelling, Science, Social Studies, extra center time, Enrichment, game/activities, clean up,

Mondays -    P.E., 12:45 - 1:15, 1:15 - 1:45, OR 1:45 - 2:15 – every other week with a parent volunteer (to be scheduled) .

Tuesday -    1:45 to 2:25 BUDDIES (with Mrs. Lovick’s class in Rm.28)

Wednesday - DANCE 12:35 - 1:05 (with Mrs. Laird) 

Wednesday - P.E. BRAIN JOGGING 2:00 - 2:10            

Thursday -   MUSIC (with Mrs. Evans)  12:45 - 1:15

Friday -      P.E., 12:35 - 1:05, every other week with Mrs.Connelly

Friday -      1:05 Grade Level Social Studies or Literature based video/STUDY HALL
