Honors PS Homework

8/19: Complete and return the Student Info Sheet as well as the Parent Info Sheet.

8/21: Return Safety Contract; do a 5 minute observation of an ordinary event (do this on the back of 
the candle experiment).

8/25: Return new class notes and the Measurement lab; quiz on safety and measurements (through 
the notes we covered today).

8/27: Do the double-sided Sig Fig WS (except prob #8) started in class (also available in HPS 
Documents); CE due by next Friday (9/4).

8/31: Finish the calculations and questions on the Density Lab (class numbers are located in HPS 
Documents by period); CE due by Friday.

9/2: All classes: do the 1.5 and 1.6 WS (in that order, also available under HPS Documents); study for 
the quiz on Sig Figs and Scientific Method; if you did not finish the Density Lab you must turn it in by 
Friday to get credit for it. 4° only: the 9 "Inversible Letter" (BCDEHIKOX) extra credit is due on Friday 
as well as the Color Inverter lab if you did not turn it in on Wednesday.

9/4: Do the Graph Packet, paying particular attention to the bold face directions on the right side 
(copies available under HPS Documents); return the Graph Lab started in class today; 5°/6° only: for 
extra credit make a list of as many English words using the 9 "Inversible" letters discovered in the 
experiment (BCDEHIKOX)--remember letters can be used more than once.

9/9: Finish the graphs and questions on the Graph Lab; quiz Friday on graphing.

9/11: Do the Dimensional Analysis WS; Test 1 is next Thursday, 9/17; CE due by end of day on 
Thursday.

9/15: Finish the Chapter 1 Review WS; Test 1 is Thursday; CE due by the end of the day on Thursday.

9/17: No homework other than for 4° to return the lab sheets; next CE is due by Friday, 9/25.

9/21: Return your signed grade sheets; finish the calculations, graph and questions on the 
Acceleration Lab; CE due by Friday; return motion notes.

9/23: Finish the Velocity and Acceleration Packet started in class; quiz on the Motion notes packet; 
CE due by Friday; Grade sheets are due for anyone who has not returned it.

9/25: Finish the double sided Gravity WS started in class; Grade sheets are due for anyone who has

Momentum and Newton's Laws of Motion.

10/9: No written homework; Egg Drop is due before the start of school on THURSDAY, 10/15.

10/13: Egg Drop Project is due by 8:20 in E-17; 4° FInish the Friction Lab as well as the Newton's 
Law lab; you will have time in class to finish the "Hair" lab; 5° & 6° need to finish the Friction and 
Hair lab calculations and questions. No quiz this week.

10/15: No homework other than to turn in the labs if you haven't yet done so.

10/20: Do the double-sided Energy & Power WS (copies available under HPS Documents); finish the 
Egg Drop Conclusion (copies available under HPS Documents); CE due by 3:00 Thursday, 10/22; 
wear or bring running type shoes for the Power Lab on Thursday; no quiz this week but Chapter 8
