Honoring Our Birthdays!!!

This year, in honor of your child's birthday, she/he will have the opportunity to make, bake and decorate cupcakes for his/her classmates! We will combine birthdays, and bake cupcakes once a month. Our school has a wellness policy and we are reducing the amount of sweet treats we serve at school. Each child will also receive a special birthday newspaper, crown and sticker on their birthday. We will also sing to him or her! Summer birthdays will be celebrated in June.

To bake the cupcakes, we will need:

• 1 box of frosting (any flavor),
• 1 can of frosting (any flavor),
• 2 eggs

Decorating items are optional. Note: I have a special recipe we use which does not require oil. If you wish your child to partcipate, Please coordinate with the other parents who have birthdays in the same month and share bringing in the items listed above. Just send in the items towards the beginning of the month, and we will select the best day in our schedule to have the children make the cupcakes.
