Recommended Books

There are so many great children's books being published, it is hard to keep up! 
With this in mind, here is a partial list of some of my favorite children's authors.  
Following this list you will also find a list of begining reading books
and a list of books which reinforce math concepts.

Great Read-Aloud books:

Aliki- Great non-fiction books

Frank Asch  - Bear's Shadow, Happy Birthday, Bear's Bargain, Moongame and
others

Paulette Bourgeois - Franklin books   These books often have great stories,
that model/teach good character and manners.

Virginia Lee Burton - Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel   The Little House

Jan Brett- Many classic stories retold, with fabulous illustrations. She has
a great website as well
!

Norman Bridwell  - Clifford books

Margaret Brown - Good Night Moon, Little Gorilla, and more

Eric Carle - If you have not read any of these books to your children yet, I
highly recommend a visit to the library! A couple of classics include
