Reminders:
1. Scrip: Please see order form for purchasing scrip inside this week’s
homework folder. The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s a great way to
give gifts or use for personal purchases.
2. Parent/Teacher Conference: In this week’s folder you will find a schedule
of when I will be conducting dates. This is NOT for you to write your
preference; as I will try first to work with parents who both work. This
paper is intended for you to let me know if there are any specific dates or
times that WILL NOT work for you. Please return this paper no later than
Thursday, Nov. 12th; so that I may put together an official schedule and send
it out in Friday, Nov. 13th’s homework folder. Thank you in advance for your
help in this matter.
3. Social Science: I have sent home all of the vocabulary words and the
important items to study for the test. You may want to make flashcards. I
also have CDs available for any child who would like to check one out, just
send a note. (The CD has the material from the book, but you may choose the
option of having it read to you. I will collect the CDs at the end of the
school year). Also, please know that the format of the social science tests
are different, and more challenging, than those of the science. There may be
T/F, fill in the blank, choose the correct letter, word bank, or write your
answer. Please refer to the study guide to determine how best to study and
work with your child.
4. Spirit Day: Tuesday, Nov. 10th-wear something/dress like something that
begins with the same letter that your name does. For example: Robert=rabbit
5. Looking Ahead:
a. No School: Tuesday, Nov. 11th-Veteran’s Day
b. Unit 3 Math Assessment: Thursday, Nov. 12th
c. No School: Monday-Friday, 24-28th-Thanksgiving Break
