About The Teacher

     Hello!  I'd like to introduce myself to all of the parents whose 
children I will be teaching this year.  My name is Mrs. Gwendolyn Gibson and 
I am starting off the 2008-2009 school year as a 3rd grade teacher at Cherry 
Chase School.  I have successfully taught elementary education in Sunnyvale 
School District for 35 years. This is my second year teaching at the primary 
level.  I am a native Californian (born and raised in San Diego) who happily 
resides in San Jose.  
     My hobbies include quilting, sewing, crafts, gardening, and reading.  I 
consider myself to be a very friendly individual with a solid Christian 
foundation.  I take pride in being an astute and caring listener who welcomes 
parents to effectively communicate with me to insure the academic and social 
success of the students in my class.

Mission For The Class

My mission for my class this year is to provide my 3rd grade students with a 
caring andd happy environment in which they are encouraged to be very 
successful and confident learners.
