What is the best way to get in touch with Mr. Nelson?

E-mailing me is a great way to correspond. Leaving a message with the
office is fine, too, and I'll respond as soon as I can. Friday is the best
time to talk after school, since it's the only day I don't have Reading Club
or a staff meeting. If you would like to schedule a conference, please let
me know and I'll accommodate you.

What should I do if my child is sick?

Sending me an e-mail in the morning will let me know the situation plus
it will inform me if you or someone else will be by to pick up materials. I
really do appreciate a timely heads up so I can have classwork-homework
prepared in time. If you let me know where you would like the materials
picked up, I'd further appreciate it: in the classroom, in the office, or
sent home with a sibling/friend. Again, if you let me know in the morning
by e-mail or phone message, I can have it ready. After lunch I can't check
my box so I can't respond to a phone message.
