In math, we are studying Unit 9. In this unit contains mathematical concepts
such as the relationship between fractions, decimals, & percents,
multiplication of decimals, and division of decimals.

We have completed our final set of Literature Circle books. Journals are due
on May 24th.

In Social Studies, we have started studying the California Gold Rush. As part
of ours study of the gold rush, we'll also be reading a class novel titled By
the Great Horn Spoon! by Sid Fleischman. This historical fiction novel follows
the adventures of a boy named Jack and his butler, Praiseworthy, as they
travel to California to strike it rich in the gold fields.
