Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! I have had the extreme pleasure of meeting with the teachers, staff and parents over the summer. During those meetings, I have learned about the AMAZING place that Condit School has been over the last 50 years. Anyone that has been any part of Condit, recently or 50 years ago, will tell you what a unique and special place it is for students. I feel privileged to have been selected as Principal and will work collaboratively with the staff, students and parents to ensure the lifelong success of all learners. I recognize and appreciate the passion and dedication our staff and families have for the success of all of our students. One of my goals for this school year is to have our staff move in the direction of Professional Learning Communities (PLC). In a PLC, teachers focus collaboratively in grade level teams on student learning, not just teaching. The teachers will work collaboratively to discuss current data and implement strategies that focus on what students are learning and also what to do when they are not. Condit has always strived for the success of lifelong learners soaring above the rest. The implementation of PLC’s will help us to continue in that direction, and also give us a chance to celebrate successes throughout the school year. Please check your weekly newsletter for information on upcoming events, Coffee with the Principal, awards assemblies, and other special information.
