Students will use Accelerated Reader to participate in the READATHON.  Points will be earned based on taking and passing AR Quizzes.  Points will only be counted if the book read is at or above the student's individual reading level.  When a student fulfills their monthly goal all four months, they will earn a medal.  If a student doubles their monthly goal all four months, they will earn a medal, a book, and a pizza party from Mrs. Cox and Mrs. Leon.

Magic Mountain: Those students who read 6 hours and earn their monthly points during January will be awarded a Six Flags Magic Mountain pass.  The reading log for Magic Mountain is due February 1.  Again, the books read during January can be included in the January Readathon goal.

Finally, in my class, those students who do medal will be rewarded with a special classroom lunch from Taco Bell.
