What do the students need to know about tryouts?
1. We encourage as many students as possible to tryout for the teams. 2. We post information in the locker rooms about one week before the seasons start. 3. Day one of tryouts the students need to go to the locker rooms, dress out and take their belongings with them to the blacktop bleachers to meet their coaches.Back to Top
Any student (grade 6,7 or 8) who is 5'3" or under can tryout for the C teams.(We have C teams for girls and boys volleyball and basketball.Back to Top
Which teams can my 6th grader tryout for?
Our league offers 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls cross country (no cuts). Our league offers 6th grade boys and 6th grade girls track & field (no cuts). 6th grade girls can try out for 6/7th grade softball, 6/7th grade soccer, 6/7th grade volleybal, 6/7th grade basketball, C team basketball and C team volleyball if they are 5'3" or under and wrestling. 6th grade boys can try out for 6/7th grade volleyball, 6/7th grade soccer, 6/7th grade basketball and wrestling.Back to Top
Is the locker room open after school?
Yes, the locker room will be open after school from 2:48-2:55 so the students can dress out. It will be locked at 2:55 so they need to take their belongings with them.Back to Top

Is there a fee for after school sports?
Yes, each student is required to turn in release form, sportsmanship expectations and $65 (Los Gatos-Saratoga Recreation if paid by check). The paperwork you need to turn in is on this after school sports web site. The fees help to cover cost of officials, coaches, equipment, uniforms, etc.Back to Top
