How do you pronounce "Beauchamp"?

Beauchamp was originally a French name, but my ancestors long ago moved to England and then the
U.S. and eventually switched to an English pronunciation of the name. It is pronounced "Bee-Chum."

Does Mrs. Beauchamp accept late work?

Not usually. Special circumstances might receive special treatment, but only if arrangements have been
made between the student, parent, and Mrs. Beauchamp. If late work is accepted, it usually will not
receive full credit.

When students are absent, what are Mrs. B's expectations for making up work?

Students who miss school because of illness or parent-excused absences will be given a reasonable
amount of time to make up missed work. However, I do expect that students who are home with an
illness will check the homework page on my website that evening, because many assignments can
still be completed even if they missed school that day. This can help to keep students from falling
too far behind the rest of the class, which can quickly start to feel overwhelming once you factor in
the work from all their other classes.
