Discipline Plan:
Philosophy/Expectations:
I believe that students learn best in an environment where they feel safe and
feel respected. I feel that everyone earns respect if they give respect to
others. I also feel that they deserve some autonomy when it comes to their
learning. In many conversations from students, the following rules are asked
of everyone in my class:
• Be Trustworthy to students
• Be Respectful of others and other people's property.
• Be Responsible for your actions and accept consequences.
• Be Fair to everyone
• Be Reliable when working with others.
• Be Considerate to all
• Be a Good Person
• Be a Team Player
• Have a Commitment to Excellence(do your best always)
Consequences:
Students who are out of control will be subjected to the following consequences:
a) Student receives a warning
b) 10 to 15 minute time-out/student conference/parent contacted via email
c) Parent is contacted by email or phone
Referrals:
If the student is involved in the following behaviors will be sent to sent
to see the assistant principal after parents have been contacted:

Grading Policy
Students will receive grades based on the following percentages:
A 100-93.5
A- 93.4-89.5
B+ 89.4-86.5
B 86.4-83.5
B- 83.4-79.5
C+ 79.4-76.5
C 76.4-73.5
C- 73.4-69.5
D+ 69.4-66.5
D 66.4-63.5
D- 63.4-59.5
F 59.4 and below
Late Work:
Students will be allowed to turn in assignments one day from the day it was
assigned. One day late. All assignments not turned in before the 2nd day
deadline will be marked with a zero in the online grade book. Parents will be
contacted via email or note. all late assignments receive up to 80% score or B-.
Extra Credit:
Extra credit is offered to all students and not given to one student in order
to raise his or her grade in any subject. Students will receive Extra Credit
opportunities in various subjects throughout the year.
