Tears." Include the poems "The New Colossus" and "Refugee in America" 
and "The First Americans" letter. All students wrote a thank you note to the 
Huntington Library docents for the field trip tours.

project.

LA: Tomorrow is library day. Please bring your ID and any library books to

LA: Correct grammar handout pg. 86. New handout assigned and reviewed. Tried 
out Chrome books for the first time. Students did an interest survey on 
Literacynet.org entitled "Find Your Strengths." After completing the survey, 
students journaled about their strengths and we shared as a class. 
Read "Flowers for Algernon" in literature book through Progress Report six on 
page 37. Students journaled a prediction as to what might happen next in the 
story.
SS: Begin flashcards for study guide, section II.
Homework:
LA: Language Skills WB p. 87.
SS: Complete section II flashcards and study all cards.
