We are currently working on the following Key Mathematical Concepts:
• describe the faces, edges, and sides of solid figures
• match solid figures to real-life objects
• put shapes together and take them apart to form new shapes (e.g., two congruent triangles
can be arranged to form a quadrilateral)
• tell time in both digital and analog forms
• tell time to the nearest quarter hour
• know relationships of time (e.g., minutes in an hour, days in a month, weeks in a year)
• solve problems by representing, adding and subtracting amounts of money
• know the relationship between the different values of coins (e.g., 5 pennies makes a nickel,
two nickels make a dime, etc.)
• show different combinations of coins and bills that equal the same value
• use notation and symbolism for recording money
